Here’s something I cooked up over the weekend: a terminal user interface (TUI) that renders Honeybadger observability dashboards from our YAML source format (which we recently made public, more to come on that).
- Still has a way to go, but I'll probably put it up on a GitHub repo at some point. Built in Rust—Ratatui (ratatui.rs) is an awesome TUI framework.
@wood @honeybadger Yea, I hear people talk smack about TUIs a lot (why are you going back to the 80s???, etc) but when you use them you realize just how **slow** most web pages are. This is probably more of a reflection of how bad most web tech is, but damn. We have crazy powerful computers now, that list better sort instantly, you know what I mean?
@Fingel totally. We have an awesome interface at Honeybadger that we've put a ton of work into, I love it. But nothing will ever beat a terminal imo. Although there may be some nostalgia in play. 😁

It's still rough but I can share the Rust code if you like! It reads that dashboard YAML and then creates a layout from a set of widgets that map to the visualizations we support in Honeybadger.
