Big networking events are hard because all I really want to do is chat around the campfire.
Always felt this way at house parties as a teenager. All the best shit happened at 4am when 80% of the people had gone home and the sun was starting to come back up. God, those were the days.
🫡 fellow 4am crew. Something about those wee hours of the morning felt very personal and refreshing. Way less about the party by that point, and more about the vibe.
Of course then go home and crash until like 8pm because you stayed up all night 🙃
Big events feel way too flashy, impersonal, and disingenuous. Feels like you gotta be someone you're not. Campfire time shooting the shit and hanging out is really just a solid way to hang out. Way more relaxed, no pressure. Just good vibes 😎
