I could probably make the case that going for a long walk is on net better than any other physical activity (for me, obviously)

  • I need more time in my day. ha

  • In any case, I have many pleasant memories of long walks, but my favorite lifting memories are more about the achievements vs. enjoying the actual experience. Running I also quite enjoy, it’s just often better when it’s slower. 😂

  • YES

  • I have no data to back this up, but suspect that over all, weight lifting is bad for people but we don't see the people who get injured, cause the stop coming to the gym

  • And more life in my body, lol

  • These kids at home for the summer and me trying to work. I have aged 84 years.

  • This summer, instead of walks I’ve been working out by doing yard work every day. Tearing out and reworking flower beds and moving 7 yards of dirt were way more difficult than my walks, and way more productive than just working out.

  • I could buy that. It depends what kind of training you’re doing and for how long, etc. Lots of individual outcomes that vary. I’m probably more injured than I would be without lifting and now a lot of what I do is managing that (so I can keep lifting 😅)

  • I feel you Emmett

  • That’s a good idea!

  • yes, the cardinal rule of humans is that they are not all the same :)
