I'm almost certain those usage stats are off, or the majority of people are following one-by-one instead of using the Follow All button.

I believe that's true (not everyone clicks Follow All), but also the usage stats mean people who signed up from the starter pack, not people who use it who already had accounts.

Uses seem off though. Mine has 0 uses on the directory, but in app I got messages that people signed up for it.

that's definitely plausible. mine says "100 uses" in bsky, but it's 98 in the directory.
That probably changed since it was added to the database. Will refresh that pack. Still need to figure out a good refresh schedule for all the packs. It's kind of adhoc at the moment.

I think there's something powerful in "hey, I want to be with the Ruby people" that your starter pack does. Esp in attracting new signups. The number of people I've heard privately already talking about this.... Whereas many of the other starter packs feel more like subjects/hobbies/interests
That's great to hear because it's what I'm going for! The goal is to rebuild the community, not just find people who happen to talk about Ruby. A few of the people in the pack rarely talk about Ruby, for that matter, and that's totally fine with me. 😁
